The problem
Small independent interior design firms place FF&E orders across many of their own vendors and reps, but no dedicated design-business software watches those already-placed orders for vendor price or lead-time changes and pushes the update into the client budget automatically, so changes go unnoticed until the client is surprised at final invoice.
The wedge
Stay vendor-agnostic: a firm forwards order confirmations from whatever rep or workroom it already buys from and Speclane parses them into a live, auto-updating budget, instead of routing designers into a platform-owned marketplace the way Houzz Pro and Procurist do.
